Some common tips in machining

2023-02-07

Generally, in the industry, the machining process specification is one of the process documents that specify the machining process and operation method of parts. It is to write the more reasonable process and operation method into a process document in the specified form under the specific production conditions, and use it to guide production after approval. With the innovation of technology, we summarized the following common tips:

1. It is not convenient to suck and take small parts (expensive parts) with magnets in machining. An iron plate 2 can be sucked under the magnet 1. Not only can many small pieces be sucked, but also the small pieces will be automatically dumped into the collection box immediately after the iron plate is pulled away.

2. Take off the jaw of the vice during mechanical processing, and then process two M4 threaded holes, and then two steel plates 2 with a thickness of 1.5mm flush with the jaw. Rivet the 0.8mm thick hard brass plate 3 with aluminum countersunk rivets, and fasten it to the jaw with M4 countersunk screws 1 to form a durable soft jaw. In this way, it can also protect the parts from being pinched and has interchangeability.

3. In machining, when the hexagonal socket wrench has a short handle and cannot exert force, the pipe with an inner diameter slightly larger than the wrench can be milled from a section of groove, and the wrench can be inserted into the groove, which can be used as a long handle.

4. When the pulley is driven in the machining process, the pulley often slips between the pulley and the wheel shaft. Use ¢ 15~18mm drill bit to scratch a series of pits on the wheel shaft, which can form an adsorption force to prevent slipping.

Finally, I hope these tips can help you become more proficient in machining!
